Interactive Programming & Live Animal Outreach

The Muskoka Wildlife Centre's acclaimed 'Speaking of Wildlife', is Canada's largest live-animal outreach program and has traveled across Ontario delivering educational and entertaining presentations to thousands of organized groups, since 1989.

Each informative presentation features a close encounter with some of Ontario's magnificent wild creatures and is designed to give the audience a better appreciation for the wildlife around them. Subject matter may include adaptations, social structure, habits and environmental threats affecting each of the creatures and content can be tailored to meet a specific curriculum. Though specializing in school groups, from elementary to university level, Speaking of Wildlife has provided interactive presentations for many other groups, including Scouts and Guides, Day cares, children's camps, resorts, museums, libraries, fairs & festivals, conservation areas, provincial parks and science centres.

The Muskoka Wildlife Centre also provides static wildlife displays, featuring live animals and hands-on natural history artefacts. Additionally, centre personal are equipped to teach a broad range of environmental based programs including tracking, species identification, wilderness survival and more.

Members of the Muskoka Wildlife Centre's education team are certified by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ontario Forestry Association.
